Grim Samurai Additions

So I thought i shouldn't abandon this design after I submitted it to Threadless. So I went back into flash and added legs and more armor. Things I need to work on are lengthening the arms a little bit and also adding more highlights. I think I will also add a sickle and more detail.
UPDATE: I went back today and fixed some problems. Mainly the arms, they were too short. I also swung them closer to the body so it doesnt look like a character sheet image. I added a little cape/cloak...It looks out of place and stupid. Unless I fix it, it will be gone for the final. These wont be the colors either...I was just playing around with the colors. i think it looks cool, like a blacklight painting.Update: possible Hoodie designs

Project Rooftop: "Invincible Viltrumite Vogue” Redesign Contest Entry

Here is my entry for The Project Rooftop: "Invincible: Viltrumite Vogue” Redesign Contest.

My thoughts behind this were that Mark Grayson (Invincible) grew up with a superhero family and he was always waiting for his powers to come through. His Dad (Omini Man) also took him to a tailor to get his superhero suit made. I made him more rebellious. What if he didn't want to be a superhero like his Dad, what if he didn't want a tailor to make his costume.

The Grim Samurai: Update!

I submitted the design on Threadless the other day! I made the presentation with a flash template. I also created an animated gif. The gif was not what I wanted. I imported a jpeg into flash and wanted just the eyes to glow. When I exported the image it was very pixelated and scratchy. So I added film grain and tracking lines onto the gif in flash. Now it looks old and grainy like a old movie. Made it work. You can go to Threadless and vote for my design when it is up by clicking the image below! Also, you can click the "like this" on facebook option now. Tweet it, spread the word on tumblr. Google+ it. etc..if you feel like doing so! :) hope you like it!

The Grim Samurai Update

And an idea to incorporate the scythe. If its able to print like that, then I think I will go with the scythe, it spreads the composition around.

New Design: The Grim Samurai!

This is a design I have been working on for a while now. Its all drawn in flash. Its the Grim Reaper in a alternate timeline as a samurai. Instead of the usual reaper with a long robe and sickle maybe warriors on the battlefield would see something like this instead. That's my little back story for this design. Once its finished I think it would look really neat on a t-shirt, so I will submit it to Threadless. Not to pump my head up with air, but i think this is a really good drawing. I would say its probably my best to date!

The descent of Persephone

I'm working on a new shirt design. Ive been inspired by greek mythology and have been playing around with a few ideas. One that I think has potential is the Greek mytho mostly known as "The rape of Persephone". Now, its not what you think, in the Greek mytho the rape was of taking Persephone to the underworld. Of course it will have to be titled something different. So i'm thinking "The descent of Persephone".

I think with a really good drawing and the use of color, light and shadow, plus placement, that it would be a cool t-shirt design. Here are some sketches that I have come up with so far!
