Today I was feeling inspired to draw something. I don't know why I drew a Banshee, It just ended up turning into one. All done in Photoshop.

Voodoo Spider Sketch before Color & Ink

Here is the sketch of the voodoo spider I did in Photoshop before I went into Flash and did the inking to get crisp lines. Then I brought it back into photoshop and colored it.

Voodoo Spider Character sketch

I recently saw a video on youtube of a cool spider. Although I'm not a fan of Spiders, I found this one to be different. It has a colorful sort of plumage on its abdomen and does a kind of mating dance. Its also smaller than a thumbnail. When I saw this my mind got to working and my sister said it reminded her of a voodoo doctor kind of thing. I couldn't get that out of my head, I had to draw it. So below is what I came up with.

Stan Lee Foundation Superhero Contest

Here is the sketch of the character sketch I sent into the Stan Lee Foundation superhero contest.
I didn't want to post the colored over version just yet, big difference. This is a character redesign of a 3d model I made back when learning 3ds max. Cross your fingers! The grand prize is that you get to go to comic con 2011 in San Diego, meet Stan Lee, get you character made into a sculpture/toy and also meet Todd McFarlane (CREATOR OF SPAWN!) in Arizona at his headquarters. I would die. Wish me luck!

Sfumato

I got tired of drawing cartoons for a while, So I thought I would try something a little harder. I wanted to brush up on my light and shadow, So this was a half hour sketch done in Photoshop.

Quick Sketch: Golden Dragon

I was getting tired of doing the cartoon thing. I really haven't had time to draw something for myself, just for fun. No grades attached, no deadline etc...So I finally had the time yesterday to do something. I did a quick sketch that took like 10 minutes. No refining. I crumpled the paper for an aged effect and then scanned it into the computer and quickly airbrushed it. The whole thing took about less than a half hour. Enjoy!
